If you have questions about your current grant, grant progress reports, or need assistance logging into your organization’s account, please see Current Grantees section below.
INTERNATIONAL GRANTS
Requests are accepted by invitation only. An organization may only apply for a grant once a year. Please note that it may take up to six months for the final status of your application to be determined.
Organizations in countries where VIVA GLAM is sold that are recognized by the local government as charitable organizations, provide services to those affected by HIV/AIDS in that country, and have been in operation for at least 3 years. All applications must be submitted online and in English. Budget information must be submitted in U.S. Dollars.
The Affiliate Grants Program supports non-profit organizations in countries where VIVA GLAM is sold. It provides grants to help underwrite direct services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS and that address the link between poverty and AIDS. Examples of services include, but are not limited to: food and nutrition, transportation assistance, prevention and education, treatment adherence, and housing. The aim is to help fund those direct services most needed in a particular community based on HIV/AIDS prevalence and the availability of other public or private funding sources. Priority will be given to proposals that have strong project evaluation and outcomes measurement components.
The M·A·C AIDS Fund will not fund the following:
Political lobbying
Religious activities; faith-based organizations must provide services to all clients regardless of denomination
Capital campaigns
Sponsorship of events
Individuals
Research
Endowments
Debt reduction
Direct medical care or services
Programs based outside of the country where the organization is based
Requests from past grantees who have not met our reporting requirements or terms of past grants

Typically, our grant will not represent more than 20% of the budget of the program for which you are requesting support. The actual grant amount is based on many factors including general operating budget, the number of clients served, the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in your community, proven program effectiveness, the size of your program, available funding, and the likelihood of ongoing support for the program from other sources.

MAF requires reports on the results of your grant after 6 months and 12 months. Reports are accessible via the online portal. MAF will not consider new requests from grantees that have not submitted all reports. Grantees will receive email notification when these reports are available online to complete.
After submitting the report online, grantees that serve clients directly will receive an email link to data tables with additional information about the populations served. These tables need to be filled out and submitted for the report to be considered complete.
Due to the large volume of grants MAF makes annually, we are unable to provide individual feedback or technical assistance on grant reports.

The use of grant funds is restricted to the activities defined in the proposal submitted and funded by the M•A•C AIDS Fund (MAF) and/or any adjustments made at the time of the award, as outlined in the award letter.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may affect the implementation or timeline of your program. Grantees must provide written notice to MAF if there are:
(a) any significant changes in the program/project supported by the grant;
(b) any changes that could be expected to have a significant effect on the grantee or project, including changes in the senior staff responsible for the project or site closure;
(c) a need to change the allocation or use of funds from the originally submitted budget.
Notification of any significant changes in the program must be made within 30 days of the change, and all requests to redirect or reallocate grant funds must be formally made in writing for approval prior to implementation. Failure to notify MAF of any significant changes in the grant may result in revocation of the grant.
To request a modification to the use of your grant funds, please email macaidsf@maccosmetics.com. The subject line of your email should be: Grant Change Request – Your Organization Name. A member of our team will follow-up with a Grant Change Request Form to review the request.
